We offer meditation workshops and silent meditation retreats across the UK. 

Our workshops and retreats are idea for beginners, as well as advanced meditators. Each workshop and retreat is comprehensive, you will be guided through meditation sessions and presented specific techniques, all designed to guide you in a journey of self re-connection.

Once we have started on the path of meditation, it is impossible to ignore the indescribable richness that meditation can bring to all areas of our lives.

Hridaya meditation is the main style we practice at Kalyan Yoga. This style of meditation is an integration of 20th century sage Ramana Maharshi’s method of Self-enquiry (‘atma vichara’) and non-duality (‘advaita vedanta’). Fundamentally, Hridaya meditation is a way of revealing our true nature.

From a technical perspective the meditation follows these three steps:

  • awareness of the heart centre, located in the chest;
  • awareness of short pauses after inhalation and exhalation;
  • asking the question ‘Who am I?’ (practice of self-enquiry).

Using these tools, we can ultimately go beyond them, revealing our true essence.
